ARTIKEL PASSIVE VOICE


The passive voice is a grammatical construction (specifically, a "voice"). The noun or noun phrase that would be the object of an active sentence (such as Our troops defeated the enemy) appears as the subject of a sentence with passive voice (e.g. The enemy was defeated by our troops).

ARTIKEL CONNECTORS
Cause Connectors
Dalam penggunaanya, sebuah percakapan atau tulisan, kita sering menggunakan kalimat majemuk, yaitu suatu pernyataan yang terdiri dari beberapa kalimat. Untuk menghindari kesalahpahaman pembaca, maka kita perlu menggunakan "Connector" seperti dijelaskan dibawah ini:
BECAUSE
Untuk menghubungkan kalimat dengan alasannya, maka anda dapat menggunakan "because".
Example:
·        I called you because I needed you
·        She failed the test because she was lazy
CONNECTORS (Kata Penghubung)
Connectors digunakan untuk menggabungkan dua kalimat/lebih menjadi satu kalimat. Connectors dibagi menjadi 3, yaitu:
1.    Menunjukan waktu: before, after, as soon as, while, when.
a.    We went home after the rain stopped.
b.    I prepare my ticket and passport before I go on holiday to Paris.
2.    Menunjukan sebab dan akibat: because/because of, since.
a.    I went to the hospital because I had a serious accident.
b.    I went to the hospital because of my serious accident.
3.    Menunjukan tanda urutan: first, next, then, after that, finally.
a.    first, we must prepare the ingredients.
b.    Next, we cut the vegetables into small pieces.
He is tired because he has been working so hard.
Because he has been working so hard, he is tired.

Tugas Individu : Daftar Pustaka dalam Penulisan Ilmiah


1. Penulisan Ilmiah dalam Sistem Harvard
Sistem Harvard menggunakan nama penulis dan tahun publikasi dengan urutan pemunculan berdasarkan nama penulis secara alfabetis. Publikasi dari penulis yang sama dan dalam tahun  yang sama ditulis dengan cara menambahkan huruf a,b, atau c dan seterusnya tepat dibelakang tahun publikasi (baik dalam penulisan daftar pustaka maupun sitasi dalam naskah tulisan). Alamat internet ditulis menggunakan huruf italic.

2. Penulisan Ilmiah dalam Sistem Vancouver
Sistem Vancouver menggunakan cara penomeran (pemberian angka) yang berurutan untuk menunjukkan rujukan pustaka (sitasi). Dalam daftar pustak, pemunculan sumber rujukan dilakukan secara berurut menggunakan nomor sesuai kemunculannya sebagai sitasi dalam naskah tulisan.

  Pada cara ini kutipan kepustakaan dalam naskah diberi nomor sesuai dengan nomor pada daftar kepustakaan yang disusun secara abjad.

4. Penulisan Ilmiah dalam Sistem Nomor Urut
Setiap kutipan dalam naskah diberi nomer secara berurutan dan susunan daftar kepustakaan juga mengikuti urutan seperti tercantum dalam naskah dan tidak secara abjad
